Pet Portraits

Our colleague and friend, Lucy came to the studio recently with her adorable new Sprocker Spaniel puppy called Basil.

Photographing pets can sometimes be a challenge so you need plenty of patience and a bit of time!

Basil is so little that he hasn’t yet started obedience training, so we needed to make use of all our squeakers, bells and his own toy to get his attention.  Lucy is very experienced with dogs and she was there getting Basil in the right place in the studio for his photos.  Typically, once the lights were off and the camera put away, he settled down nicely on the floor in a lovely lying pose!  But that was good as we quickly switched the lights back on and we got a few more lovely shots.

"Philippa is so much fun to work with during photo shoots. We have two uncontrollable children and she has been able to capture their energy with the camera for some fun photos. She certainly has met our desire to have some great family pictures to gift to other relatives. This was our third session within the last 10 years excluding numerous passport photos sessions. We appreciate Philippa's patience and enthusiasm for her work! She's a creative local entrepreneur that should certainly be supported"
