Plain clothes without large logos and strong patterns work well. Consider colour co-ordinating clothing for group photos and casual clothes are best for informal portraits.

Hats and hoods make great props for kids and adults.

For babies & toddlers, bring along a favourite toy,
preferably one you won’t mind being on the photos!

Allow enough time! Portrait sessions can take time, especially with little ones or large groups.

For children, think about the best time of day for them when booking your appointment. We are happy to work around your child’s routine.

Don’t expect children to smile for every photo. We capture beautiful images of children when they are smiling and when they are not.

Make the most of your session. If you don’t have portrait photographs taken very often, have a variety of groups, couple and individual shots taken at the same time during your session.

Remember, photography is personal choice and therefore we vary the style of photography throughout your session from more traditional through to contemporary portraits.

If you have any special requirements for your photos, let your photographer know at the start of the session.
