We want you to make the most of your portrait session and a bit of preparation beforehand can make all the difference. Here are some handy tips…
Plain clothes that avoid large logos and strong patterns work well. Consider colour co-ordinating clothing for group photos and casual clothes are best for informal portraits.
Allow enough time! Portrait sessions can take time, especially with little ones or large groups.
Hats and hoods make great props for kids and adults.
Make the most of your session. If you don’t have portrait photographs taken very often, have a variety of groups, couple and individual shots taken at the same time during your session.
Remember, photography is personal choice and therefore we vary the style of photography throughout your session from more traditional through to contemporary portraits to make sure you get a portrait you’ll love.
If you have any special requirements for your photos, let your photographer know at the start of the session.
For babies & toddlers, bring along a favourite toy, preferably one you won’t mind being on the photos!
Think about the best time of day for your child when booking your appointment. We are happy to work around your child’s routine.
Don’t expect children to smile for every photo. We capture beautiful images of children when they are smiling and when they are not.
